Time spent in undivided attention to God reminds
us that God and only God is God. What could be a more important thing to remember as we begin a new year?
There are a few tools or resources that God has given us that help us return our attention to where it belongs. These are things like prayer and fasting, along with a whole group of other spiritual disciplines—they draw us closer to God.
As the New Year begins and we take up the challenge of 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer, we’ll spend a few weeks in God’s Word, focused on developing these disciplines so that we can respond in gratitude for what God’s done and take the time to do whatever we can do to love God in return
